Reminder Valet
Terms of Use
Last updated: October 1, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Reminder Valet Mac app and this website. Reminder Valet is provided by Daelan Wood (“I,” “me,” or “the developer”).
By downloading the app from the Mac App Store or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or site.
The product
Reminder Valet is a free macOS utility. You type a reminder in natural language; the app creates it in Apple Reminders.
It is a capture tool. It is not a full Reminders replacement. It does not provide its own reminder database, cloud sync, or accounts.
Apple’s terms also apply
The Mac app is distributed through the Mac App Store. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (or any custom EULA listed on the App Store) applies. Apple Intelligence, Reminders, iCloud, and macOS are subject to Apple’s own terms.
Requirements
The app requires:
- A Mac with Apple silicon
- macOS 26 or later
- Apple Intelligence available and enabled
- Permission to access Reminders, which you can grant or revoke in System Settings
If those requirements are not met, captures may fail. That is expected, not a breach of these terms.
License
The app is licensed, not sold. You may use it for personal or internal purposes on Macs you own or control, as allowed by the Mac App Store. You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, or misrepresent the app as your own, except where applicable law does not allow that restriction.
Your content and Reminders
You are responsible for what you type into Reminder Valet. Reminders created by the app are your data in Apple Reminders. The developer does not host those reminders and cannot retrieve, restore, or delete them for you except insofar as you use Undo immediately after a capture, or you use Apple Reminders / iCloud yourself.
Do not use the app to store content you are not allowed to store, or to violate the law.
No professional advice
The app does not provide legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. “Pay rent” and similar examples are illustrations only.
Disclaimer of warranties
Reminder Valet is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Parsing is probabilistic. The app may misread a date, list, repeat rule, or title. You should glance at the confirmation line and at Apple Reminders if the reminder matters. The developer does not warrant that captures will always be correct, that Apple Intelligence will always be available, or that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, missed reminders, failed notifications, or lost profits, arising from your use of Reminder Valet or this website.
If liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to US $0, because the app is provided free of charge, or the minimum amount required by applicable law.
Some places do not allow certain limitations. In those places, the limits apply only as far as the law allows.
The website
This website is for information and to link to the Mac App Store. It may change or go offline without notice. Product copy on the site is a summary; the running app is the source of truth for behavior.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by quitting and deleting it. The developer may stop offering the app or update it through the App Store. These terms survive for provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers and liability limits).
Changes
These terms may be updated by posting a new version on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless applicable consumer law in your place of residence requires otherwise.
